Search Gale e-books on your topic, and you'll find reference books that will provide background information on religious systems. (If you are in a dorm or off-campus, you will be asked to enter your Salve username and password in order to access these databases, immediately after you click on the link to access the database through the library website.)

Finding books with keywords

As you begin to look for books on your topic, you want to type two or three "keywords" or search terms into the catalog's search box. For example, if you were interested in understanding more about the role of nonviolence in Jainism, you could start out by searching "Jainism" AND "nonviolence."
