Scanning Overview


The Scanner button will scan copies of paper documents into a PDF and send the file to you via your Salve e-mail. 

(This option is free and your account will not be charged for printing).

Scan-To-Email Instructions

1. Swipe your Salve ID.  (A valid Salve ID is needed to print, copy, or scan). 

2. The on-screen display will show your printing balance. Press "OK" on the display screen.

3. Press the “Home” icon on the touch panel display, then touch the “Scanner” icon.

4. On the display screen, press "Manual Entry."

5. Using the on-screen keyboard, type in your Salve e-mail address and then press "OK" in the top right corner. (Note: scans MUST be sent to a Salve email address)

6. Follow the “Copying Instructions” guide starting with Step 5a to scan book or journal pages OR Step 5b to scan loose document page(s).

7. You will not receive a confirmation screen. Check your Salve email to confirm that your document(s) were received (also check your Junk and Clutter folders). If you need assistance, please ask a library staff member.

Your account will also automatically log-off after 15 seconds of inactivity.
